Originally we wanted to get wooden wedding bands, but after getting the estimate from the artists, we decided we'd be better investing in something made of metal that will last a little bit longer (and be a lot cheaper). We haven't ruled the rings out entirely, they might reappear for an anniversary or something. Check out the artists at TouchWood Rings.
So, now we're on the hunt for wedding bands. Tim absolutely loves this one, and I agree it's fabulous! Unfortunately, it doesn't have a matching woman's band, so I'm on my own. I'll keep you posted!

Ok, so we just got back from the jeweler and we have BANDS!! woohoo! Tim did get to check out the one above that he liked so much online, but he actually found a titanium one he liked better - it's pretty similar, but instead of the hammered gold band in the center, it's black titanium (along with the inside) - both the bottom and top are white gold to match mine.
Here's some pics:

Yay for adding pictures! :)
That is so crazy you were thinking of TouchWood Rings! Ryan and I came across those when we were looking for a jeweler to make my e-ring. They are so amazing!! We decided the same thing as you. For the cost, they just aren't durable enough. Ryan works in a mad-scientist lab, so his ring would have been a goner in no time.
Where is that band from?? Super cool!
Hey girl!! It's from Kay Jewelers. While we have had a little "history" with them, Tim and I decided we had to go back (to avoid opening another credit card). Hopefully they won't mess up a plain metal band. Our recurring problems were with the stones falling out of my e-ring, so I think if we eliminate the extra "trouble" hopefully we won't have any problems.
