Invitations, STDs and Disney Packets

First, we sent out a Disney Planning Guide that I designed to include all sorts of things to do in Orlando, so that our Disney guests could make reservations as soon as possible. These packets went out with a ceremony and reception invtiation (unfortunately I didn't take a pic of those! Maybe we still have one left, I'll have to ask my Momma).

Next, we sent out newsletters announcing our destination wedding with magnetic Save the Dates for our reception at home. I had designed a bunch of newsletters with different Disney clipart to give us a choice of which to send. When I asked Tim which he liked best, he couldn't decide! So, we compromised and sent them ALL!! We decided to randomly distribute the newsletters between these ones.

These are the STDs. After we had put them all together, my mother said, "Hey, why didn't you put your names on it?" Oh my gosh, are you serious? Since I had NO itention of redoing them, I'd hoped the website URL was enough (it's our first names).

Our invitations came in recently, and my mom said it would be great if we could get them all put together, caligraphied (yup, she does that too!!) and stuffed so that all we'll have to do is lick, seal and stamp and send when the time rolls around in October. I thought that sounded good (one less thing to worry about!) So, today (July 13) we had a little picnic invitation party at my mother in laws. We stuffed invites and had a little picnic (and a short happy birthday song & cake for Tim and me). Also, on top of all the OTHER things my mom had going on this weekend, she managed to bake some tasting cakes so that we could decide what kind of cake, frosting, and filling we wanted (See Cakes section for more). Here are some pics from our "party."
