These were the first cakes we were looking at for inspiration when we were just browsing pics on the web:

We have a Disney theme for our at home reception - and since Tim's favorite movie is Nightmare Before Christmas, we found THIS awesome cake:

Grooms Cake:

The cake topper on there is from Corpse Bride (morbid much? lol). So I bought this NBC one last christmas:

It's not really a cake topper, but it will do!
I've also been debating about the "girly" layer of the cake, and thought we might want to go in a different direction. Since my lovely mother is our baker, she said she could do whatever we like! Yay! So, I liked this swirly layer, but Tim wasn't a big fan.

Here were some other ideas for the rogue layer:

We had an "invitation stuffing" party and after we had finished our "duties," we had an awesome picnic at my inlaws where we had a mini cake testing event as well. Judy and Bill bought us super cute matching mugs for our birthdays. They are cream and chocolate and say "I do" and "Me too" on the outsides and 'And they lived happily ever after..." On the inside. Too cute!!

Cake Testing. We decided on all layers with white cake and almond frosting, and two layers of each strawberry and butterscotch fillings.
